Ron Perlstein Teams With ERA To Give Local Inventors A Shot At Millions In The Infomercial Business
Sunshine State’s Infomercial Guru Hosts Workshop To Educate Independent Inventors About Breaking Their Product Into The Infomercial Arena
BOCA RATON, FL (June 5, 2003) – Ron Perlstein, CEO and founder of Boca Raton-based Infoworx, the leading turnkey infomarketing firm, has teamed with the Electronic Retailing Association, to host a free workshop designed to educate local inventors about the infomercial industry and give them an opportunity to ultimately showcase their inventions to the industry’s key players. The workshop, entitled “Show Me The Money: How To Make Millions In DRTV”, will be held on July 12 at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport Hilton.
Perlstein will be joined by a panel of four DRTV experts representing the areas of DRTV law, production, distribution and product placement for this eight-hour workshop (9a.m. to 5p.m.). The first half of the workshop will consist of a DRTV 101 session outlining each of these areas, followed by a question and answer period. During the second half of the workshop, attending inventors will be able to submit their prototypes for evaluation by the expert panel. Those approved will qualify for an invitation tothe Electronic Retailing Association’s New Product Showcase Pavilion at the 13th Annual Conference & Exposition from Sept. 14-17 in Las Vegas, NV. At past conferences, inventors have landed licensing deals, live home shopping tests and distribution agreements for their innovative products.
This workshop is one of four sponsored by the ERA across the country.
Approximately 10 percent of products submitted at each workshop have historically qualified for the New Product Showcase Pavilion, which is in its fourth year, according to an ERA official. The New Product Showcase Pavilion receives an average of 50 inventions, which are on display for the industry’s top decision makers and DRTV companies.
“By hosting this workshop, we are trying to expand the reach of the ERA and extend a hand to the independent inventor, the little guy,” Perlstein said. “This workshop offers inventors a safe environment to showcase their product and learn the ropes of electronic reltailing,,” he added.
